Day 28: My kind of town

I'm very adamant when it comes to urban vs. nature. Nature of course. Still, there's something just as wonderful about the city...

Day 20: Contemplation among other things

I've been thinking about just posting a picture from my vast collection everyday.

Much easier on the eyes.

And unless I fervently feel the need to provide an explanation, a photo seems just as fulfilling as a paragraph.

In the meantime, here's another example of words on wood. This one just amuses me. In a good way.

Day 17: Sushi

Healthy and cheap. That is, if you order the rolls that don't involve real raw fish. Still, so good...

Go eat here if you're in Illinois. YUMMMMMMMM

Day 16: Rafa!

Get well soon, Rafael Nadal.

Get updates here. The Q&A section is interesting.

P.S. Congrats to Roger Federer for winning the Wimbledon '09.

Day 15: You don't have to be one

But I sure love you if you are one.

HOORAY FOR ROCKET SCIENTISTS!

I have to start doing this at a time when I have the energy to write...

Day 14: Up, up, and away

This post could be inspired by the thought of being able to just let go of yourself.

Or perhaps allowing yourself the freedom of finally doing what you want to do and not caring what those people back on the ground are thinking.

Is the message a reference to Mika?

Maybe this post is about enjoying the many marvelous qualities of helium balloons.

I guess it's your decision.

Day 12: Eyeballs Galore

The window to the soul, or so they tell me.

Today, in my mind's eye, I spy a guy in a field of rye, with his hands to the sky, oh my oh my. He wears a white coat, as eyes gracefully float through the air. He clears his throat and declares, "You're looking just fine, yes, all of your kind. You see the light shine due to your sight divine." The man skips away, with the retinas he will now play. Unto you I say, the optometrist I thank today.

Day 11: Harpo Studios

What kind of happy blog would this be if I didn't mention Oprah. I can hardly begin to describe everything she's done that's caused my deep admiration of her. She manages to find the good in the worst while downplaying neither side. The simplest thing I can say is that she's nothing like Jerry Springer, Jenny Jones, Maury, or any other talk show host that floats in daytime television.

Here's to you, Oprah Winfrey.
